Sandra Tepla makes bespoke jewellery that is all about texture, line, contrast and colour. Her pieces are handmade from both silver and non-precious materials.
Each design takes on the botanic life that serves as her inspiration, which she documents and explores photography. Sandra’s stated aim is to: “…establish a new form of jewellery that is independent of association with wealth and social status.”
Her latest collection Entwined is reflecting her love for organic forms and use of patina. Primary nine pieces of wearable art are produced from copper wire coated
in silver and beach glass collected from all over Europe. Pendants are suspended from beautifully detailed cord necklaces featuring silver and brass findings.
Use of patina in this collection gives pieces an aged look. Each piece of Entwined jewellery is a statement piece to be reckoned with.
Second collection on show is The Beauty of Brass(2013) featuring work in brass and silver. This collection is inspired by pattern and abstract forms. The main focus here is colour.
The last line Made Black(2012) is produced in oxidized silver.
You can shop the collections and meet the designer alongside 70 other independent designers and makers at our next event at Shoreditch town hall.
