Her Danish heritage is apparent in this minimal yet strong aesthetic, & her design process reflects a great respect for the traditional values of the silversmith. With an emphasis on these skills and a high level of craftsmanship she designs and creates each prototype from her Hackney studio with the aid of patience, nice music and a strong set of eye glasses.
Production is kept in-house not only to ensure that the same exacting standards of quality and design are translated to each finished piece, but also due to the designer’s desire to produce sustainable and responsible fashion jewellery. Despite this emphasis on sustainability & traditional craftsmanship, Henriette Lofstrum jewellery has enjoyed great commercial success. Sanskara Designs was borne serendipitously when a new found hobby went rapidly out of hand.
Designer Josephine says, “My love for traditional silver jewellery has taken me on this journey where I now source vintage/antique silver pieces and string them with gemstones & beads, old & new to create what I think is sheer poetry. Each of my pieces are unique and I only ever make one of each design as I try to retain the uniqueness of each piece. My inspiration comes from my eastern roots and my travels across the globe. The handworking of metal is of paramount importance to BMV Jewellery – everything is worked by Billie from aluminium, copper, brass, bronze and silver sheet, wire and tube, often recovered from scrap yards. Traditional metalsmithing techniques are used, and the material of construction is emphasised, its characteristics and supposed ‘flaws’ – the natural qualities of the metal – are celebrated.

Karina DeLirio is an evolving collection of original and handcrafted jewellery. Each design juxtaposes single organic elements into harmonious designs, creating a moving piece of jewellery that has a subtle sound with every person move. The designs are bold and unique but at the same time comfortable to wear.
Karina Delirio used precious metals and stones to create a signature style where she translates her interest for harmonious interaction between the person wearing it and the jewellery. she always look for ways to allow the person to express himself or herself thought the work she makes. Flora Wallace is a designer and maker who explores narrative, meaning, and place through ceramics. She engages directly with the landscape by taking impressions of surfaces and textures of places themselves. As in the making of chutney, her work attempts to capture aspects and qualities of seasonal moments and specific points in time and space. She is currently working on a series of seasonal vessels, these vessels come with a guide to the british flora in an attempt to encourage the user to forage.
Martin Tomsky creates illustrative, relief pieces built up from layers of laser cut, stained plywood. These range in size and shape from very small items of jewellery to much larger, bespoke artworks. Each piece is hand assembled to create a beautiful, organic object that bridges the gap between craft, illustration and sculpture. Read more

Intrigue Emporium Autumn Show was a hit! We had a whole selection of talented designers exhibiting with us again, and it was great to see some old faces coming back for our second event! Monika is a fashion designer & an emerging artist. Originally from Delhi and recently moved to London, she was born and brought up in a family that traded fabric for a living since 1960s. After Growing up being neighbours envy wearing her mum’s hand-stitched and dare to wear silhouettes from leftover fabrics, she went on to study Fashion Design in the year 2000 and spent formative stages of her career at major Indian design houses like Satya Paul and Vasari. Using innovative techniques, structures and clasps, Katie creates jewellery with natural forms that loop and curve with architectural simplicity.
The work is strongly influenced by the exotic nature of botanical gardens. The unique pieces capture the ephemeral and natural in permanent structures formed from precious materials.
