Barbara creates pieces in silver and gold inspired by her travels through India, Egypt, Morocco as well as her exploration of museums and galleries throughout London. The recurring designs and styles of these places are incorporated into her jewellery to create a sense of timelessness- both classical and new at once.
She honed her skills while studying jewellery and silversmithing at Sir John Cass University in London. Each piece is handmade in her workshop in London, using mainly sterling silver, plated in 18ct gold, and a variety of techniques, such as wax carving, Keum- Boo (fine gold fusing) and reticulation. Her Danish heritage is apparent in this minimal yet strong aesthetic, & her design process reflects a great respect for the traditional values of the silversmith. With an emphasis on these skills and a high level of craftsmanship she designs and creates each prototype from her Hackney studio with the aid of patience, nice music and a strong set of eye glasses.

The handworking of metal is of paramount importance to BMV Jewellery – everything is worked by Billie from aluminium, copper, brass, bronze and silver sheet, wire and tube, often recovered from scrap yards. Traditional metalsmithing techniques are used, and the material of construction is emphasised, its characteristics and supposed ‘flaws’ – the natural qualities of the metal – are celebrated.

Karina DeLirio is an evolving collection of original and handcrafted jewellery. Each design juxtaposes single organic elements into harmonious designs, creating a moving piece of jewellery that has a subtle sound with every person move. Martin Tomsky creates illustrative, relief pieces built up from layers of laser cut, stained plywood. Using innovative techniques, structures and clasps, Katie creates jewellery with natural forms that loop and curve with architectural simplicity.
The work is strongly influenced by the exotic nature of botanical gardens. The unique pieces capture the ephemeral and natural in permanent structures formed from precious materials.
